Pregnancy Fashion

I won't lie. I miss my preggo belly. I'm one of those weird ones that LOVES being pregnant! Except maybe the last month, I love it, and am sad that we only plan to do it 1 more time, but goodness am I excited to not have to the newborn phase again after this last one. Hallelujah, praise the Lord!

Even though I don't have my preggo belly right now, I can still count on my sister to be my model so I can still touch on maternity fashion even when I'm not and boy did she rock this. This plaid blouse was perfect for fall and winter.

Of course Pinkblush is my go to for maternity clothes hands down! They have the cutest and most fashion forward options around and I was thrilled to work with them again!
What I also love about Pinkblush is that the pieces transition from maternity to postpartum. This sweatshirt will be perfect for right after he's born. Flowy and forgiving!

Even though her baby bump is tiny now, this dress is going to fit her now through the end of the pregnancy and will be perfect for her maternity session photos. Love me some stretch!

Can't wait to hold that sweet nephew of mine!! May can't get here soon enough!

*this post was done in collaboration with Pinkblush. All opinions are my own. I received these 3 pieces for free in exchange for my review.

Summer Top Round Up

I have missed dressing a non-pregnant body. Don't get me wrong, I love being pregnant, but there's something about having my body back that is just the best. Granted, I am still nursing so not "completely" back to myself, but we are getting there!

I have rounded up some of my favorite tops from a new favorite line of mine. SheIn.

I found out about this brand through other blogger friends and I am excited to finally take the jump and wear some of these adorable tops for the last few month of summer. I live in TX and it's hot here until well, Christmas :)

I have found that you need to look at the size chart for EVERY piece because they are all different. As long as you follow the size chart, you are golden.

First up is this adorable gingham blouse. Paired with jeans or jean shorts like these or these would be my go to to make this outfit turn from day to night.

Next up is this striped smock blouse. This top would be cute paired with army green shorts like these. I love that they are a little longer than the normal pair of shorts.
I am loving this maroon top as football season is right around the corner and Saturday's outfits are always maroon since our alma mater is Texas A&M. I love to pair my maroon tops with white jeans like these or these to give it a little contrast then pair it with a fun, chunky necklace.
For me comfy and easy to throw on during the summer months is important, which brings this next tee to one of my favorites! Add a lace bra underneath (which are nursing friendly) and you've got a great every day outfit. Pair with some distressed shorts like these and a pair of white converse.

You may be thinking how any of these shirts are "nursing friendly". That's where the Blanqi underbust nursing tank comes in handy.

It has an open bust design so that you can wear it under any shirt so that when you lift up your shirt to nurse, this shirt still keeps you covered. The postpartum leggings also do a great job of covering up your mid-section when lifting your shirt to nurse.

What is your favorite every day outfit for the summer time?

Post Partum Style Part 2

When finding maternity clothes to wear for the months you are pregnant, it's always nice to find some that will work once baby is here too. I really utilize flow tops for after baby is here because 1. my body is just not ready to have anything tight around it and 2. it helps with nursing and having some extra fabric to cover up with. My kiddos don't like nursing with covers so having extra fabric to drape around me is helpful!

Pinkblush always fits the bill for comfortable and stylish clothes. Check out the items I just picked up and can't wait to use once Landon is here too!

This dress isn't so much "nursing friendly" but it's definitely post partum body friendly. I love how flowy it is and definitely hides all the parts that need to go back to normal after having a baby.

And the best part? They are having a sale today on on their tops. Use code TOPTWENTYFIVE for 25% off all tops!

Closet Clean Out

As spring has sprung so has the warmer weather and Dia & Co. inspired me to get a jump on my closet clean out.

Now for me this year since I'm pregnant I'm double cleaning out. I still could wear some of my regular winter clothes when I was early pregnant, but now that the bump is growing, I'm pretty much in all maternity. So the first thing I did was move out ever piece of clothing that wasn't maternity or that I knew I couldn't fit in. It just helps being able to see what I actually have to wear instead of sifting through it all. As a rule of thumb when I'm not pregnant, I stick to these guidelines as I get ready for a new season, whether it's warm or cool.

1. If it doesn't fit with the season, move it out.
We have these gigantic cedar closets in our attic so I move all my clothes that don't fit in the season up there. Honestly, there's no reason to have any long sleeve shirts in your closet. They won't get worn when it's hot outside.

2. If you didn't wear it last season, time to chunk.
As you are pulling last season's clothes out, really take a good look at it. Did you wear it? If you didn't wear more than 3-4 times, it's time to either sell it or donate it. I promise you won't "eventually" wear it. We never do!

Now that all of season's clothes you may wear are visible, do the same thing. Will you wear it? Do you like it? Try it on. See if there's something else in your closet it can be paired with. If not, time to say bye bye.

3. Organize what you have.
I have found if I just throw them all up and don't have them organized I forget what I have. You can either organize by color or organize by type. I like to organize by type (shirts, tanks, fancy tops, pants, dresses). That way when you feel like a tank and jeans day, you go right to those areas, see what you have, and pick out an outfit.

I do my closet clean out at the beginning of spring and normally beginning of fall once it really cools off. I switch out my clothes and clean them both out. Donating what I know I won't wear again.

I'd love to hear how you keep your closet organized and neat! Leave a comment with your tips and tricks!

Stay tuned for another post about the must have items in my closet for spring time! I will be including links to those pieces so they'll be easy for you to snag.

Comfort Never Looked So Good {giveaway}

So did you guess the comfiest item that I'm wearing?
Let me give you a hint. You can't actually see it in the picture.

But I promise it's there.
Think you got it?

Ok ok. I'll tell you. It's actually what's underneath.

It's my new Hanes Ultimate Smooth Inside and Out Foam ComfortFlex Fit® Wirefree Bra. And can I say hallelujah for it? Being pregnant is tough and finding a comfortable bra for the last few months is even tougher! Staying comfortable is key towards the end and a good bra is a necessity! That and stretchy leggings. So when Hanes contacted me about trying out their new wireless bra, I was so excited! As the belly gets bigger the wires in the bras seem to poke me more and I just can't handle it.

Are there any mamas out there that can relate? You're lying if you say you can't ;)
Not only is the bra comfortable, but it's supportive. Which again, necessity while you are pregnant.
They also sent me the Hanes Ultimate ComfortBlend® T-Shirt Underwire Bra, which again, so comfortable and so soft! I'm excited to be able to wear it non-stop once this massive belly is out of the way!

And because Hanes wants to share the amazing comfort of their new bras, they have agreed to give away TWO bra to my readers! You get one of each of the bras listed above.
