Bump Update
How far along? 32 weeks

Total weight gain: I have gained 28 pounds so far. I was actually DOWN 2 pounds at my last appointment! I couldn't believe it! I was very proud of myself for eating healthy and walking every day!

Maternity clothes? duh. stocking up on dresses and skirts as the weather in Texas is getting
H-O-T!

Stretch marks? nope! but my stomach is starting to look a little purple from all the stretching.

Sleep: I can fall asleep, but I normally wake up an hour after falling asleep and I'm wide awake for a couple hours. Makes me very tired!

Best moment this week: I was so nervous about my appointment and how much I was going to weigh, that my blood pressure was higher than normal. Haha. Once they weighed me and I had lost 2 pounds I was able to calm down and she took my blood pressure again. It was back to normal :) But the fact that I lost 2 pounds and baby is going great, it was such a great appointment.

I also got pictures from my shower we had a few weekends ago. It was such a sweet day to celebrate our sweet girl who we've been waiting for for such a long time!

the amazing hostesses and I
my mom and I. Her grandma name is CeCe
the future grandmas (Grandma Kate and CeCe)
my Nanny and Mimi, Reagan's great grandma's. I am so lucky to have both sets of grandparents still alive.
Reagan was one blessed girl
all of my family that attended the shower
my sister and cousin giving Reagan kisses
traditional sideways picture
Miss anything? working out. I can't wait to get back into shape once Reagan arrives.

Food cravings: not really. just really food in general :) HA!

Anything making you queasy or sick? nope, but my sense of smell is very strong so I smell EVERYTHING!

Gender: girl

Labor signs: nope and there better not be for awhile!

Symptoms: round ligament pain, occasional heartburn, feeling full all the time, peeing constantly and urgently, swollen ankles, winded easily, braxton hicks.

Belly button in or out?  In! I bet I am one of very few women who can say that they belly button did not pop during pregnancy!

Wedding rings on or off: On, but I'm not sure for how much longer!

Happy or moody most of the time: happy!

Looking forward to: finishing her nursery and meeting her!

week 31- bump update and letters to Reagan

//dress- Target//

Bump Update
How far along? 31 weeks

Total weight gain: well the doctor let the cat out of the bag at my last appointment and I've gained 30 pounds so far. Hopefully I'll only be a pound or two up on Friday at my next appointment. Trying my hardest to eat healthy!

Maternity clothes? duh. stocking up on dresses and skirts as the weather in Texas is getting
H-O-T!

Stretch marks? nope! but my stomach is starting to look a little purple from all the stretching.

Sleep: the strange this is I'm so tired during the day, but when it's time to go to bed I can't turn my mind off to be able to fall asleep. Once I'm asleep, I'm good though!

Best moment this week: We had our maternity pictures done last Thursday by Lynzy from Sparkling Footsteps and I'm so happy with how they turned out. She's actually a photographer from Connecticut that I follow on instagram and she announced she was coming to Dallas for vacation and would love to do some mini sessions. I jumped all over that! And I'm so glad I did! Here are some of my favorites!

The other AMAZING news is that I had my growth sono on Monday and Reagan is measuring perfectly! She measured 31 weeks and 5 days and I was 31 weeks weighing 3 pounds and 3 ozs. The sono tech said she's in the normal range for size. She did said I had a lot of amniotic fluid which is making my stomach measure big and for me to weigh more. So I am praying at our follow up on Friday that Dr. Ku will be pleased with those results and let me eat a little less strict and will take inducing at 38 weeks off the table and let little miss come when she wants!

Miss anything? not getting winded so easily.

Happy or moody most of the time: thankfully happy!

Looking forward to: meeting with Dr. Ku on Friday and hearing a good report and our family reunion in a few weeks!

Best moment this week: getting the email that our crib has been SHIPPED! It's only been 12 weeks!!! Once it's in their Dallas warehouse, they will call us for delivery. So only 1 or 2 weeks left and we will have our crib!

Miss anything? I'm ready for the fluid retention to be OVER with!

Food cravings: still loving my fruit! I go through tons each week and Greek yogurt.

Anything making you queasy or sick? nope, but my sense of smell is very strong so I smell EVERYTHING!

Appointment Update

Well I just got home from my 30 week appointment. It was supposed to be a routine appointment. Kyle wasn't coming because our last appointment literally lasted 5 minutes, so there was no reason for him to come this time. Boy was I wrong!

I was called back and they weighed me like normal. I covered my eyes like I always do, but I was interested to see how much I had gained in the past 2 weeks. We've been walking a mile every night and I am doing an arm workout daily too. So when she told me I had gained FIVE pounds I literally almost fell off the table. The nurse tries to make me feel better by saying you gain a lot at the end, but it didn't make me feel any better. I had been trying so hard to be active and then this boom was lowered.

So then my OB walked in. She tells me that 5 pounds in 2 weeks really worries her and then she tells me how much I've gained total. A number I didn't want to know. THIRTY pounds! Oh my gosh!! Are you kidding me? She tells me that she was surprised I passed my glucose test at my last appointment with how much weight I've gained. She then tells me that she only wants me to gain 10 more pounds for the ENTIRE pregnancy. (yeah right!) She wants me to watch what I eat and google "diabetic diets while pregnant" because I need to watch what I eat. No crazy crash diets, but a diet.

Ugh. I feel so defeated. I know I've been gaining weight. I can feel it. My clothes don't fit. Yes, my PREGNANCY clothes, don't fit! I had to buy new clothes in a bigger size. But the hits kept coming.

She wants to do a growth sonogram at my next appointment to check on Reagan and if she's measuring big she may want to induce at 38-39 weeks. When she measured my belly it was measuring at 31-32 weeks. I'm almost 30 weeks.

This breaks my heart. I haven't talked about this on the blog because everyone is entitled to their own birth, but Kyle and I want to do a natural birth and have been taking a Bradley Birthing class for the past 8 weeks. We are so excited about this and are so ready for it! That is, if I'm not induced. When you're induced your body is forced to dilate before it's ready and brings on crazy contractions that are stronger than a normal labor. It's very unlikely to get through an induced labor naturally.

So pretty much I feel like I've failed my baby by gaining so much weight. I should have watched what I ate. I should have put that cookie back. I should have had more self control.

My next appointment also had to be pushed back an extra week and a half because the sono tech is only in on Mondays and in 2 weeks that Memorial Day. Just annoying.

Praying I can stick to healthy eating because I have no self control. I LOVE food! Any extra prayers that I can stick to it and that baby is measuring on track instead of ahead would be greatly appreciated.

week 29- bump update and letters to Reagan

//shirt- Old Navy// pants- Old Navy// jean jacket- JCREW factory//

Bump Update
How far along? 29 weeks

Total weight gain: still not looking, but I've been major swollen lately. I know it's gotta be up there!

Maternity clothes?  oh yes! She is so low that there is no way I can wear anything normal. My belly sticks out the bottom. Mom and I had to go to Old Navy this past weekend to buy new shirts in the next size up. It was hard seeing myself in a size I've never worn before, but what are you going to do?

Stretch marks? nope! Mom didn't have any, so I don't expect to get any. I heard stretch marks are all in the genetics.

Sleep: sleep this week is going better! I started turning the air down at night and that seems to help. I'm becoming my own heater! I've also added a mini fan on my bedside table. My sweet hubby brought it down from upstairs when I mentioned how hot I was one morning.

Best moment this week: it's been a quiet week, but Kyle's dad got to feel Rae kick. My dad is the last one left to feel her. He tried to on Saturday night, but literally every time he would take his hand off my stomach she would kick! She did it like 3 times!

Miss anything? not being so big! I'm tired of retaining water. My ankles and legs are the worst!

Food cravings: still loving my fruit! I go through tons each week and Greek yogurt.

Anything making you queasy or sick? nope, but my sense of smell is very strong so I smell EVERYTHING!

Gender: Team Princess

Labor signs: nope. The braxton hicks I mentioned last week have subsided.

Symptoms: round ligament pain, occasional heartburn, feeling full all the time, peeing constantly and urgently, swollen ankles, winded easily, braxton hicks.

Belly button in or out?  In! but looking more like a belly button slit these days.

Wedding rings on or off: On, but I'm not sure for how much longer!

Happy or moody most of the time: thankfully happy!

Looking forward to: same as last week. my shower in May and hopefully having a sono at my next appointment.
